Folk Week takes place from Friday 31 July to Friday 7th August 2009, a week which will see Sidmouth brought to life by thousands of musicians, dancers, artists and folk music fans. For more information on this year’s event, visit

Another annual event, the
Sidmouth Regatta, is due to take place at the end of August 2009, where spectators can expect boat races, competitions, firework displays and more.
Close by, the historic village of Ottery St. Mary in the beautiful Otter Valley hosts the world famous
